The 2026 Winter Warmer will take place 29 & 30 August, with Folk Club on the Saturday night.

Each year, Woodfordians gather to do over 15 different annual projects to take care of the site and its infrastructure. From doing an annual spring clean of the office, to oiling to bridges so they last a long time, there are jobs for everybody to take on.

Duties

Sort out the storage area at the Eastern Bloc so we can keep up the presentation levels for all who drive by. Remove rubbish, tidy up our assets, put things back where they need to go.

It would be ideal to have at least one person who can operate a forklift.
Some lifting will be required.

Roll out clay, cut and stamp all of the volunteer medallions for this year's folk festival. We need to make at least 3000.

Our office is in need of some lovin' and the staff would love some help to make it shine again. A clean work space is a good one, right?

Duties

The main admin office needs a bit of a paint job in reception and then some steam cleaning of the carpets. Some help with cleaning and organising the creche and sun room is also needed.

The termites have struck! Our Supplies containers need some repairs, so all has to be taken out, the floorboards fixed and then put back again. A good project for folks with a bit of carpentry skills and possibly a secret love of shipping containers.

Clear out supplies storage container, assess any damage to shelves and flooring, repair (light carpentry involved), and then put all the stuff back again.

Light carpentry skills and ability to lift and carry up to 20kg.

Calling all Weedos! It's time again to do another mass weed-out. There have been several and we're looking for a large number to keep up the great progress being made. Please put in your application if you wish to join Weedos and the Lab Project or the Lake Lovers weeding project.

Duties

En masse, we can get rid of a tonne of weeds. Join us in our ongoing pursuit of a weed-free Woodfordia.

Specific requirements

Helpful to know what plants are plants and what are weeds but there will be some weed ID flyers and other experts around, so a chance to learn too.

Duties

Who's up for some yarning and darning fun? We have a few tasks to keep us busy, like repairing street lighting socks and festival flags, and making colourful seat covers to enhance accessibility reserved seating.

If you can hand sew or use a sewing machine and/or overlocker with great attention to detail, we'd love for you to join our little group.

We can provide a limited number of sewing machines and overlockers so feel free to bring your own machine if you prefer. Accessories will be provided.
