Ideal for those looking for an entry into ticketing and event management, you’ll work alongside the Front of House team to bring together the Woodford Folk Festival’s Gates, Ticketing and Office Management. By shadowing the Front of House Manager and being actively involved in the planning operations and pack-down of the gates and ticketing of Australia’s largest folk festival, you’ll gain invaluable experience and understanding of large scale events management.

We work in Mac-based office environment. It is preferable that the intern is able to do so as well or is willing to learn (on their own time). Being proficient in both Mac and PC is a plus.

  •  Examine and document trends in ticketing sales data
  • Traffic & parking discussions – examine the entry process and movements of different classes of visitors

12 October

Citizens’ Day & Programme Launch small event

  • Monitor ticketing
  • Communications –  create template emails for frequently answered questions
  • Assist with the distribution of programs to outlets
  • Assist with recruiting and placing volunteers for various gates department
  • Signage plan for inside the solutions tent
  • Begin collation of information packs for Solutions team
  • Assist in volunteer ticketing preparation – review associated emails, test system

November (2-3 days/wk)

  • Assisting with ordering supplies & logistics for gate departments

  • Study of last year’s entry frequencies through the ticketing system
  • Ongoing handling of patron and external enquiries
