Ideal for those looking for entry into ticketing and event management or event management students. You’ll work alongside the front of house team through the gates, ticketing and office management. By shadowing the Front of House Manager and being actively involved in the planning, operations and pack down of the gates and ticketing at Woodfordia events, you’ll gain invaluable experience and understanding of events management.


Experience Gained

  • Ticketing Administration including, ticket management, refunds and ticket development
  • Shadowing Front of House Manager in planning meetings & setup of website content, ticketing platform and developing messaging to patrons within the database
  • Assisting with gate logistics, traffic management, signage plans and training
  • Involvement with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting with the management of a busy office and reception
  • Assisting to collate & communicate information
  • Assisting in the operations of online stores
  • Distribution & coordination of printed promotional materials
  • Recruitment of volunteers including, checking references and developing rosters
  • Assistance with overseeing teams of volunteers across multiple departments during an event
  • Reporting on operations & issues

Essential Skills (these are skills we require of any interns in this area)

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Gmail or similar. Ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Experience in customer service
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a calm and friendly attitude in a busy environment
  • Strong desire to learn about event management
  • Valid open driver’s licence
  • Previous volunteer experience at festivals and events

  • Some experience in a leadership role

  • Experience in Photoshop or Adobe InDesign

We work in a Mac-based office environment. It is preferable that the intern is able to do so as well, or is willing to learn (on their own time.) Being proficient in both Mac and PC is a plus.
