FAQs

Upon successful completion of your booking you will receive a confirmation email from Checkfront with your receipt attached. Please be sure to check your junk/spam folders. 

You will then receive a separate welcome email from Woodfordia outlining details of your stay. 

We currently open only for September/October School Holidays and Easter School Holidays.

Our Terms & Conditions set out our refund policy. Refunds are not made for:

  • change of mind
  • a change in personal circumstances
  • personal health, such as COVID or COVID symptoms
  • poor weather before or during your stay.

Monday to Sunday: 10am-5pm 

Check-out is 11am for campers and 10am for Glamping Tents occupants.

Late check-ins will need to be pre-arranged with reception by phoning 07 5496 1066 or email reception@woodfordia.com  

Yes. The name on each booking can be changed by the purchaser. Please contact us on 07 5496 1066 to amend the booking name. 

Yes, there is a 3-night minimum for all bookings.

We also have a volunteer program in exchange for a ticket – read more here. Volunteering is also a lovely way to connect with the broader Woodfordia community.

There are no student or pensioner discounts, however, we aim to keep our booking prices as low as possible.

To register for accessible camping at Lake Gkula Camping, complete an Accessible Camping Registration Form. For more information about our Disability Camping Area and Accessibility Friendly Glamping Tents please email  reception@woodfordia.com or call 07 5496 1066.  

Please register 2 weeks prior to your arrival, so that we can best help you.

If you do not register prior to your arrival, we may be limited in what we can do to assist you. We ask that you submit your forms 2 weeks prior to your arrival date so that we can best cater to your needs.  

At this time, we are not offering complimentary companion tickets for Lake Gkula Camping, although we do for our larger events such as The Planting and Woodford Folk Festival.

We encourage carpooling, but we have enough space for you or your group to have multiple cars at the campsite.
(For the Woodford Folk Festival, we issue carpasses and encourage people to keep their cars out of the campgrounds, so that there is more space for people and tents)

Woodfordia Citizenship is an annual membership to access all things Woodfordia. It entitles a member to access the Woodfordia Citizen’s Portal, invitations to Citizen’s Day gatherings and Programme Launch party, and the Lore Society journal.

No, there is no direct shuttle bus from the train station to the site for Lake Gkula Camping (we arrange one for the Woodford Folk Festival).

Yellow Cabs Caboolture on 131924 is approx. $85.00-$100 one way.

UBER (available via app store) is approx. $53-$65 one way. 

The General Store will accept cash and EFTPOS.  

Spring and Autumn temperatures are 25 degrees on average, with a chance of wet weather and cool nights. 

For large groups, we can arrange allocated campsites.

Generally, we operate on a first-in basis. We have plenty of room for everyone. 

All water on site is potable, unless signed otherwise.

We have Beerwah Springwater available for purchase if you prefer.

Yes, there will be groceries and snacks available at the General Store. Oh yes, we almost forgot to mention coffee too.  

We also offer breakfast, lunch and dinner each day, next to the General Store.

Yes, there are a limited number of powered campsites, for an additional fee.

Generators are not permitted. 

We do not have cooking facilities or barbeques available in the campgrounds.

Our Glamping Tents have a well-stocked kitchenette and barbeque.

We will have several communal campfires around the campgrounds, in designated areas. Feel free to bring along your own wood.

Other fires are not permitted.

No, but there is a dump point at the Woodford Showgrounds which is 5min drive, closer to Woodford town. 

No, for the safety of others and the aquatic plant life, boats or flotation devices can’t be used in Lake Gkula.

Yes, however some areas will be off-limits (like close to the General Store where there is a lot of foot traffic).

Helmets must be worn at all times. 

Beautiful and fascinating as always; prepare for mosquitos and ticks. 

We are in the bush, and ask you to take care if you go walking around the less populated areas of the site – along with wallabies and green tree frogs, there are (from time to time) snakes.

We ask that you leave your pets at home unless they are accredited assistance animals.

To let us know you’re bringing your Seeing Eye Dog, Mind Dog or other Assistance Animal please complete the Assistance Animal Form. 

Yes, we ask you to keep quiet after 10pm.

No amplified music will be allowed after that time and really, we’d rather you bring your instrument to play instead. 

You are able to have your own alcohol at your campsite.

Our Lake Gkula Bar area is a strictly licenced area, therefor no BYO alcohol can be consumed in this area.

Smoke is permitted in the campgrounds, however, we ask that you are mindful of your neighbours.  

Smoking is not permitted in the Glamping tents, Lake Gkula area or around the General Store. 

Yes, our campground has plenty of space, shade and flat surfaces for you to set up your caravan, RV, motorhome or camper trailer. We do not have restrictions on camping space, however ask you to be respectful of your neighbours. 

Check at the General Store or with the Lake observers – we have staff and volunteers around the site to help you.

No, however there are ATMs located in Woodford township, which is 5min drive up the road. 

The General Store, bar and cafe all accept card too.

No, access to our campsite is reserved for guests that have a 3-night booking or more. 

They will need to leave their photo I.D at the front check-in desk and collect it on departure. 

Yes, they are permitted to enter the campsite for 2 hours to help set up.

We offer payment plans for the Woodford Folk Festival, but we do not have payment plans available for Lake Gkula Camping or Glamping tent accommodation.

No, but ask that everyone practice the necessary Covid safe measure to reduce the risk of transmission.
