We are opening our beautiful 500-acre site for camping this September and January school holidays. 

Bookings require a 3-night minimum

As a registered land for wildlife site, visitors will get the chance to see many of the beautiful animals that call Lake Gkula Campground home including; echidna, kookaburra’s, wallabies, goanna and more.

COVID-19 SAFETY ON SITE

Lake Gkula Camping will only go ahead if continues to be safe to do so. If the directions from Qld Health change and we cannot proceed, we will immediately cancel and refund all bookings in full. If people are unable to attend due to illness or Covid testing, border closure or government declared lockdown we will refund your booking in full.

  • Pets: Seeing eye dogs and assistance animals allowed. An assistance animal application form must be completed prior to your stay and assessed by staff.
  • Communal Campfires: No campfires are permitted at your campsite, however there will communal campfires that are managed by Woodfordia Inc staff.
  • Powered sites: There are a few powered sites that are set aside for accessibility camping that require power for life saving equipment only.
  • Dump point: The closest dump point is located at Woodford Showgrounds, 5min from Lake Gkula Camping.
  • Bike and scooters are permitted on site, helmets must be worn at all times.
