    • ABOUT
      • OUR ORGANISATION
Woodfordia is a not-for-profit, community driven organisation with our 500-acre headquarters at Woodfordia, approximately five minutes drive from Woodford in SE Queensland, Australia.
Woodfordia’s mission statement is to stimulate, facilitate and foster the preservation and promotion of folk culture for the common good.
      • OUR LAND
Our traditional Custodians are members of the Jinibara Nation. The Jinibara people are the registered Native Title Holders for the Woodford area and are comprised of the descendants of Fanny Mason, known as Jowalmel, who was born in the 1840’s at Woodford, and Johnny McKenzie, known as Wangiramu, born in 1826 near Kilcoy.
    • FESTIVALS
          • BUSHTIME
              • Bushtime is an inspired camping holiday held on a 500-acre parkland located in the Moreton Bay Region Hinterland, on Jinibara Country, just over one hour north of Brisbane.

We hope it will be a unique camping experience for you, where whilst enjoying a slower pace of life, you are able to treat yourself to the delights on offer. Imagine sunset concerts, learning a new skill at a single or intensive multi-day workshop, getting your hands dirty through the citizen science talks and demonstrations, enjoying some of our many self-led activities exploring the site which is brimming with abundant flora and fauna.

We look forward to gathering as a community again and walking just a little more gently on this planet. We hope to see you at Bushtime soon.
          • WOODFORD FOLK FESTIVAL
              • The Woodford Folk Festival is held annually over six days and six nights from Dec 27th through to January 1st. More than 2,000 local, national and international, artists, musicians and presenters put on over 438 acts to an audience of an estimated 132,000 people. The festival begins each year with the iconic Opening Ceremony and closes with the spectacular showcase, the Fire Event on New Year’s Day. This year will be the 33rd Woodford Folk Festival and the 24th held at Woodfordia. It is the largest gathering of artists and musicians in Australia. Read More
          • THE PLANTING
              • Woodfordia owes its beautiful, cultural parkland to The Planting. Our organization, when it purchased this property in 1994, had a notion that rather than just sing about issues facing the environment, we get our hands dirty by planting trees. Through The Planting, we created an event that contributes to worldwide consciousness emerging in communities everywhere—an endeavor to heal a planet damaged by the ravages of our industrial practices in the past and which sadly, still continue today. • ARTISAN CAMP
              • Artisan Camp, a range of distinctive classes led by masters of their craft, is held each year leading up to our annual Planting festival. Each class culminates in the production of an artwork, creative outcome or performance. On the final night of the camp, join us for the Artisan Feast, a delicious dinner, drinks and night of entertainment with your fellow artisans. This dinner is included in your Artisan Camp ticket. • FESTIVAL OF SMALL HALLS
              • Festival of Small Halls is a series of tours that takes the best folk and contemporary acoustic artists performing at two of our country’s largest festivals, and sends them on the road to tiny halls in communities all over Australia. It is produced by Woodfordia Inc in partnership with many other wonderful Australian festivals, regional partners and great lovers and supporters of folk and contemporary acoustic music.Read More
